Metro East Spring Gathering on April 14th at Bethany Lutheran in Elkhorn

Attendees at this spring gathering will hear from Amy Chisholm from Project Harmony, which is a program that takes in abused and neglected children in the Omaha area and finds help for them.  Diane Gubbels will be here to share her stories of inspiration.  She will bring her quilts and tell how they were inspired and created.     And the day will end with inspiring music by Nola Jeanpierre, a noted singer from Omaha.  Find the registration form under Resources.

Southern Prairie Conference Needs Your Spare Shoes

Spring Cleaning for Spring Gathering!

Don’t we all have at LEAST ONE pair of shoes that aren’t being worn anymore? That pair of shoes doesn’t need to collect dust in the back of the closet! Use it to minister overseas.

The Southern Prairie Conference is looking for help with their Spring Gathering tangible offering for their May 5th gathering at Salem Lutheran Church near Superior.  (The gathering registration form is available on this website under Resources in Forms.) They are collecting clean used and new shoes for the Shoeman Water Project. Midlands Conference Spring Gathering

Again, it is great to share the creativity of our Spring Gathering committees.   Midlands Conference Spring Gathering will be held at First Lutheran Church/Fremont on March 31. Coffee and Sign-in starts at 8:15 am.   Registrations are due to the NSWO Treasurer by March 23rd. The registration form with more details is in the Resources section but here are a few details.  Bible study by the Bishop!  Music workshop with “Faith Unchained”!  Clowns for Christ will be doing a workshop and will be clowning all day!  Jeanie Kocher will be talking about her 2 years of teaching in Tanzania! And… Ta Da Ta Da!!!  “The Gospel According to Dr. Seuss” by Pastor Jim Gobel.  This should appeal to young mothers so dependent care will be available.
